The OpenDXM GlobalX 3DEXPERIENCE integration enables a structured and automated export process directly from the PLM platform. Users select complete product structures, CAD objects, documents, or multiple files in 3DEXPERIENCE and assign them to an OpenDXM GlobalX Collection.

Predefined filters and user-specific settings determine which objects are included. The 3DEXPERIENCE Connector executes batch-based export jobs, converting the selected data into a structured, file-based exchange format.

Real-time status feedback and detailed job logging ensure full transparency. Optional metadata files enrich the exchange with additional context. Recipients access the ZIP-packaged data through the OpenDXM GlobalX web application - ensuring secure, consistent, and traceable data exchange.

The roundtrip process enables controlled bidirectional exchange of CAD data between 3DEXPERIENCE environments while preserving data integrity.

After exporting product structures, CAD models, and documents, the data is modified by the recipient and sent back. During re-import, the CATIA V5 Import Module analyzes the returned package:
